Send an overall equipment photograph, straight-run link photo, end-view of the joint and chain-to-sprocket relationship. Without these views, a replacement proposal can only be provisional.

- The exact chain being replaced and its position
- Pitch, link count, connection type and assembly width
- Attachment plate drawing or dimensions
- Sprocket photo and tooth count
DIMENSIONAL RECORD
How To Measure
Measure pitch across several intervals and document the condition of the old joints. A visibly worn chain may provide a misleading dimension if only a single pin spacing is taken.
Also photograph the matching sprocket and attachment interfaces. Provide any available drawing instead of guessing a standard size.
