INSPECTION
Inspection Priorities
Inspection needs depend on the ordered chain or component; a chain joint, plate and sprocket have different critical geometry. Request an inspection plan that matches the drawing and the agreed acceptance conditions.
| Inspection subject | Engineering reason |
|---|---|
| Link geometry | Pitch repeatability, link thickness, end profile and assembly width |
| Joint hardware | Pin, roller and bore reference dimensions |
| Attachment plate | Mounting hole centres, flatness and working clearance |
| Sprocket matching | Tooth form and mating roller/chain relation |
| Documentation | Drawing revision, measured results and traceable identification |

Technical Photo Guidance
A clear photograph with a scale is useful for initial identification. It is not a dimensional inspection report and cannot alone confirm load capacity, material chemistry or heat-treatment properties.
For ordered configurations, request the agreed inspection documents, drawings and any independent testing applicable to the project.
