INSPECTION

Inspection Priorities

Inspection needs depend on the ordered chain or component; a chain joint, plate and sprocket have different critical geometry. Request an inspection plan that matches the drawing and the agreed acceptance conditions.

Inspection subject Engineering reason
Link geometry Pitch repeatability, link thickness, end profile and assembly width
Joint hardware Pin, roller and bore reference dimensions
Attachment plate Mounting hole centres, flatness and working clearance
Sprocket matching Tooth form and mating roller/chain relation
Documentation Drawing revision, measured results and traceable identification

EVIDENCE

Technical Photo Guidance

A clear photograph with a scale is useful for initial identification. It is not a dimensional inspection report and cannot alone confirm load capacity, material chemistry or heat-treatment properties.

For ordered configurations, request the agreed inspection documents, drawings and any independent testing applicable to the project.
